April 13, 2023 Toronto Maple Leafs vs New York Rangers. 3-2 win. 

   Toronto suffered through a plague of injured goalies all throughout the 2022-23 season. The Leafs were up against the salary cap at the end of the year and faced an unusual problem. They only had one healthy goalie in Joseph Woll but no room to recall a minor-league goalie, even on an emergency basis. The Leafs were forced to sign a string of amateur goalies to amateur tryout agreements. Richard was the fourth and last emergency goalie the Leafs dressed over a four game stretch. The University of New Brunswick goalie signed an ATO with Toronto and travelled with the team to play the Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
