November 27, 2023 Calgary Flames vs Vegas Golden Knights. 2-1 win.

   Late November, 2023 Calgary Flames goalie Jacob Markstrom called in sick. He came down with an illness that would not allow him to dress in a game against the Vegas Golden Knights then just a a few hours away. With no time to recall someone from their AHL affiliate, the Flames called their local EBUG, Dusty Nickel, and signed him to an amateur tryout agreement. Nickel dressed as backup to Dan Vladar, who was solid in a 2-1 win.
