January 4, 2020 Pittsburgh Penguins vs Montreal Canadiens. 3-2 win.

Some unusual circumstances led to Emil Larson's only appearance in the NHL. Tristan Jarry dressed in every game for the Penguins during the 2019/20 season except for one. Wanting to give Jarry some time off in Pittsburgh, they left him home for a trip to Canada to play the Montreal Canadiens. The Penguins recalled Casey DeSmith to dress as backup to Matt Murray but DeSmith was unable to find his passport. An American, DeSmith couldn't cross the border without it and thus the Penguins were forced to turn to Emil Larmi, who had been playing in the ECHL.
