1 NHL Game
November 10, 1982 Chicago Blackhawks vs Montreal Canadiens. 6-3 win.
Early November, 1982 the Chicago Blackhawks recalled Jim Ralph from the Colorado Flames. Tony Esposito was suffering from a groin injury and coach Orval Tessier decided to give him some rest. Jim Ralph dressed as backup goalie to Murray Bannerman in a game against the Montreal Canadiens. According to a 1982 Ottawa Citizen newspaper, Ralph was schedule to start Chicago's following game, against the Red Wings, but Esposito made an unexpectedly quick recovery and Ralph's NHL stint was over before it could really even begin.
